Renée Coughlin is a singer-songwriter, touring and performing artist based out of Deshkan Ziibiing. (Treaty 6 territory, also known as London, ON.)

As a celebrated and award winning song-writer, most of Renée's artistic experience and achievements exists within the harmonizing folk trio, The Pairs. Collaboratively founded and managed with Noelle Frances Coughlin and Hillary Watson, the group has recorded three studio albums, continues to tour internationally, and is always finding new and innovative ways to employ music as a way to cultivate more meaningful relationships among humans.

As an individual artist, Renée is inspired by the nuance and complexity of human life in a more than human world. Her honest songwriting and storytelling reveals mundane and compelling realities that often go unnoticed.

Through live performance, facilitating workshops, and her written work, she aims to engage community of all ages and stages to tap into what makes them uniquely human, and find ways to celebrate who they get to be in this life, at this time, and on this planet.

Renée is optimistic, playful, and sincere. She is hopeful that music making and storytelling can foster authentic and understanding connections among human beings, while growing our resilience as a species.
